 ating Popcorn like a Lawyer’ is a seminar series that seeks to establish a
  continuous dialogue between the fields of law and film. \n\nFor our fall 
 session\, we have invited Chanelle Lajoie (Filmmaker & McGill BCL/JD stude
 nt) for a special screening and discussion of their short films Metis Femm
 e Bodies (2019)\, Grand Mother Tongue (2020)\, and Land (Ab)use (2022)\, a
 ccompanied by Kevin Lee Burton’s short film\, Nikamowin (song) (2007).  \n
 \nChanelle Lajoie is a Queer Red River Métis and Swampy Cree Feminist and
  Futurist from Treaty 1 Territory. They are a guest on Tiohti:áke Territo
 ry while pursuing legal studies at ��Ƭ��֦��Ƶ. Moving-image invites
  balance in their life by honoring and engaging with the communities to wh
 ich they belong. Their ties to community are explored in their films\, whi
 ch invite reflection and discussion on Spirit\, gender\, sexuality\, femin
 inity\, Indigeneity\, language\, community\, the Anthropocene\, and trust
