The STEMM Touch-screen exhibit kiosks have opened @ Redpath Museum!Ìý Nearly a year after its inception, the Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Medicine (STEMM) Diversity @ McGill initiative, which aims to promote diversity in STEMM fields, has installed two newly created touch screens with the two exhibit panels. Positioned in the Dawson Gallery on the 2nd floor, these two interactive Touch-screen kiosks feature interviews, podcasts, articles and images of women and minorities in STEMM at McGill. The Diversity in STEMM Colouring and Activity Book that was created by MSc Biology candidate Jessica Ford to accent this project is available for sale ($7) in the Redpath Museum office (Room 102).

Land Acknowledgement

Rematriation, Repatriation and Restitution Statement

We acknowledge that the return and restitution of cultural and natural heritage to communities of origin is an essential part of reconciliation and of recognizing the fundamental rights of Indigenous Peoples. As part of wider efforts to activate the standards presented in the Canadian Museums Association Report Moved to Action: Activating UNDRIP in Canadian Museums (2022), the Redpath is working towards pro-active restitution practices. As per our Collections Management Policy (2024), repatriation requests will be received by the Redpath Museum Director and will be treated on a case-by-case basis.

Accessibility

Please note that the Redpath Museum is not accessible to individuals using wheelchairs. There are no access ramps or elevators, and access to the upper floors is only possible via a central staircase. The exterior entrance, interior spaces, exhibition rooms, and restrooms are not adapted to meet universal accessibility standards. Additionally, the building is not air-conditioned.
