 igion\, secularization and globalization.\n\nJosé Casanova is professor em
 eritus at Georgetown University and senior fellow at the Berkley Center. H
 e has published works on a broad range on religion and globalization\, pol
 itics and religion\, and transnational religions and migration. His works 
 include\, Public Religions in the Modern World (1994)\, Islam\, Gender\, a
 nd Democracy in Comparative Perspective\, (with J. Cesari\, 2017)\, Religi
 ous and Secular Dynamics in Our Global Age (2017). Jesuits and Globalizati
 on\, (with T. Banchoff\, 2016)\, and Asian Pacific Catholicism and Globali
 zation (with P. Phan\, 2023). In 2012\, Casanova was awarded the Theology 
 Prize from the Salzburger Hochschulwochen in recognition of his life-long 
 achievement in the field of theology.\n
