Lachlan, FMT鈥�22, Ross, FMT鈥�23 and Gavin McDonald, FMT鈥�24, have a long family history with Macdonald. The brothers grew up on Kerrydale Farms established by their ancestor Donald McGillis, an immigrant from the Scottish Highlands, who arrived by canoe on the banks of the Raisin River in Williamstown, Ontario in 1784. Over the next two centuries, the McGillis family grew Kerrydale Farms into a successful operation that is now in the hands of brothers William 鈥淏ill鈥� McDonald, FMT鈥�97, and Thomas 鈥淭om,鈥� DipAgr鈥�93 鈥� father to Lachlan, Ross and Gavin.聽

Convocation is a special time and an important milestone in the lives of graduating students. Today鈥檚 virtual Convocation ceremony for the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences enjoyed a milestone of a more collective fashion, however.

For the very first time, the graduating cohort from the Farm Management and Technology Program (FMT) was made up of more than 50 per cent women.

Ils d茅tonnent du reste du paysage hivernal : ces arbres, contrairement aux autres, gardent leurs feuilles m锚me apr猫s leur mort. Ce ph茅nom猫ne, appel茅 marcescence, est observable chez certaines esp猫ces d'arbres. En effet, l鈥檃griculture se positionne au 10e聽rang des 70聽professions et m茅tiers class茅s au palmar猫s de l鈥檌ndice du bonheur au travail r茅alis茅 par la firme L茅ger. Les travailleurs agricoles ont tr猫s positivement 茅valu茅 cinq des six facteurs principaux qui influencent le bonheur au travail聽: r茅alisation de soi, relations de travail, reconnaissance, responsabilisation et sentiment d鈥檃ppartenance.
