ISS Orientation Info Session

  • Join us for a short presentation customized specifically for you as an international student, followed by time for Q&A.
  • Learn essential info about your status in Canada, Health Insurance, Montreal, and ISS services and activities.
  • Please note that these info-sessions are for Students only.

When: Thursday, August 21st - Friday, August 22nd from 3pm - 4pm.

International Student Welcome Reception

  • McGill International Student Services staff cordially invites NEW International Students to its Welcome Reception after you finish your first day of class at Ƭ֦Ƶ!
  • This event will provide you an opportunity to meet University officials and other new international students from over 150 countries.
  • Join us for music, refreshments, meet your diplomat (!) and a grand welcome to Ƭ֦Ƶ!

When: Wednesday, August 27th from 5pm - 7pm.

Get your Social Insurance Number!

  • You need a Social Insurance Number (SIN) to work in Canada.
  • Service Canada now enables students to apply for a SIN Card directly online viathe.

SIN CLINIC AT MACDONALD CAMPUS:

  • Representatives from Service Canada will provide guidance and support for students applying for their SIN Cards via the online portal
  • *Please note that the Service Canada will not issue you a SIN Card in this clinic. Your SIN card will then be mailed to your home address.

When:Wednesday, Sept 17th
10am - 12pm; 1pm - 4pm

International Student Soccer Tournament

  • We will organize 4 teams and let everyone know their team the day prior to the tournament.
  • This is a mini 3 game tournament with the best two teams moving into a final match
  • Team prize to be won!
  • Rain or shine! (exception: thunderstorms and a notification will be sent the day-of the tournament)
  • Everyone is welcome for this friendly soccer tournament including all levels and genders
  • All players are to bring a black AND a white t-shirt
